Understanding Carry Over. What it is and how it works.

Planning your season’s sales and margins based on what you need to order is one thing. Factoring in what you already have is another.

What is Carry Over and how does it impact your Plan? #

FIND will automatically mark all the products which are more than one year old as Carry Over products.  For example consider a merchant with 4 seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and we are planning for Fall 2020.

In the example below,  products purchased prior to Winter 2019 will be marked as Carry Over with the corresponding season name. So we will have  Carry Over-Fall, Carry Over-Summer, etc. as the season code for these products.

In the example above,  products purchased prior to Winter 2019 will be marked as Carry Over with the corresponding season name. So we will have  Carry Over-Fall, Carry Over-Summer, etc. as the season code for these products.

All the other products will be labeled as normal season Winter, Fall, Sprint, Summer. Here the products labeled as Winter will include the Winter 2019 products (Sales of products of the last Winter season) and also Winter 2020 products (Sales of products for pre Winter 2020 sales)

Note that FIND will automatically forecast the inventory on hand of Carryover products based on the selected time range of the plan.
